MMS Mission Statement
The mission of Midland Montessori School is to provide an environment based
on life experiences and reflections which encourages children to develop
Respect, Responsibility, and Resourcefulness.



Summer Program



Confirmations and additional information has been sent home to summer program enrollees.
We are busy finalizing the plans for both programs and more detailed info will
be coming very soon.  If your child is transitioning to the older program don't
forget to stop in and observe the classrooms in session to get a better feel
for what they will be encountering.  We will be using Room 2 for arrivals and
departures for these young friends.   Please contact Nancy at 835-3921 ext. 31.



Summer Camps



Midland Montessori School will be offering a single Summer Camp this year.  The week
of the camp will be June 23rd - 27th and will be run by Miss Nancy with help from
Miss Dee Hall.  This will be a morning camp.  Watch your child's backpack or your
family folder for a flyer with more details.



MMS Graduations 



Every year as children leave MMS to enter  the public school, each classroom holds
a graduation to recognize these children.  Although we will miss these children
we wish them the best and look forward to hearing how Montessori helped them
in their later lives.  Graduation for Room 3 - Miss Grace will be June 4th at 5:30
and Room 7 - Miss Marilyn's am class on June 4th at 6:30 .  Graduation for
Rooms 1 & 2  - Miss Sharon and Miss Stephanie will be June 5th  at 6:00 p.m.
in the Gross Motor Room.  Extended Kindergarten Graduation will be held on June 11
at 1:30 in the Gross Motor Room.



MMS Picnic

The end of the year picnic will be held on Tuesday, May 20th at Plymouth Park.
The rain date is set for May 22nd.  The cost this year will be $25 per family.
Forms with more information have already been sent home.  If you need another form,
please see Nancy Grubich. Don't forget to turn in your RSVP by the 16th.

Each year we have a Silent Auction with a variety of baskets filled with special
things made by your children along with baskets and other donated items from
families and businesses. Stop by the tables and make a bid on your favorites.
Don't forget to have your child check out the Children's Auction table to see what
they would like to take a chance on.

Fundraising Up-Date

As our school year comes to a close I would like to thank everyone for their support.
Times have definitely put a pinch on all of  us and everything from financial support
to volunteerism has been greatly, greatly appreciated.

Thank you for all of the great support with the Box Tops - what an outstanding year !!
They continue to come in and the children continue to enjoy all of those treats.
We will keep this project going all summer. 

We are also coming up to the deadline for  Campbell Soup Labels.  They are requesting
that we turn in this years UPC's by the end of May, so please bring in any that you have
been gathering at home by the 23rd.  This will give me a few days, when we return
from Memorial Day, to organize them and get them on their way.  I would
also like to thank the classrooms that participated in additional projects
within the school to get us bonus points.  We also received bonus points for our
community activities with the Coins For Families and Toys For Tots.

Flower orders have been placed.  I will distribute them as soon as they return.  Last
year they were back to us within a couple of weeks.  Please remember that if
your plants do not bloom within their specific time frame they are 100% guaranteed.

Another successful school year is coming to an end.  On behalf of MMS staff and Board
of Directors,
I'd like to thank each family for all their support, generosity,
and for choosing Midland Montessori School.  I hope that your children have gained a
love for learning, a respect for others, and many life skills that will help them
become the unique individual that will not only be successful but happy too.
